A good pipe has to “smoke well “and it has to “sit well in the hand” that’s what Grandpa used to say and the Golf108 limited edition pipes are a case in point! Our pipes are made from the “bark” – the “briar” of the heather tree (Erica arborea). The root is at least 80 years old, and from the centre of the root, the part that is the body for the future pipe is carefully selected.

There are two pipes in the orchard. One is made for “beauty”, that is the smooth one. In this one, besides the good qualities of the pipe itself, the biggest advantage is the density and beauty of the wood, the so-called “flake”, and also the appearance of the so-called “curls” on the surface of the pipe on its smooth surfaces. We recommend this one for use at home, in the warmth of the family fireplace or for other intimate occasions. The second pipe is designed as a pipe for “pocket and playground use” The surface of this pipe is partially sandblasted (that is, hot sand or fine glass is blasted against the sandblasted parts of the pipe). Such a surface has the advantage of not scratching, in addition to the advantage that the surface of the pipe dissipates heat well. The principle for assessing the quality of a pipe is that no hot smoke should come out of the pipe when smoking. This is ensured above all by a sufficiently thick pipe wall. At the same time, our master “pipe maker” has optimally balanced the amount of wood and the thickness of the wall so that the pipe does not “pull teeth” when smoking.

The pipes are packed and delivered in luxurious cartridges using veneers made of noble woods varnished in high gloss:

• “VAVONA” veneer (lighter version)
• “MAHAGÓN CIR” tree veneer

You can choose a cartridge that is either lighter or darker to suit the décor of the interior in which your pipes will have a home. The exclusivity is also underlined by the possibility of choosing the serial number on the pipe. For example, if the pipe is a gift for a birthday or anniversary of a significant event, the client can choose a specific serial number when ordering. Of course, only if this series is still available in the respective country. The number is engraved on the body of the pipes using a laser. On request, we will mark the cartridge with your company logo. The inside of the cartridge is covered with eye-pleasing genuine brushed leather, pleasant to the touch and thus highlighting the luxury and uniqueness of this pipe set…

Both pipes are described (see photo) and the description includes the designation GOLF108, the country code and the serial number of the product from the series, for example “IRL100” means that it is an edition for Ireland and the serial number of the product is 100.
